1. STARBOUND

There is something not quite right about Victor: he has a room full of second-hand artificial limbs, a strange man is living in the shed; and a hernia repair operation is threatening his manhood. And yet, Victor Meldrew is full of joie de vivre. Could it be his new part-time gardening job or does the answer lie in the stars?

All seems to be going well for the Meldrews for a change. But disaster is never far away... Soon Victor is selected for an indecent exposure parade, becomes involved with the ghost of a dead Satan-worshipper, ends up in bed with his new neighbours and embarks on a holiday destined to test his 37-year marriage...
